Health & Safety Training Courses

Working at Heights and Manual Handling (3 hours) – £30 per person

Dates & Times:
Thursday 12th October 2017   9.00 am – 12.00 pm (Venue To be confirmed)

 Reduce the risk of workplace injury with this course that teaches:

  • Work at Height Regulations
  • Recognising external safety factors
  • Minimising the risk of manual handling
  • Equipment inspection
  • Noticing hazards

This course is not suitable for those working with specialised equipment e.g. scaffolding, cherry pickers etc.  If you are unsure as to the suitability of the course for you please telephone 0161 253 6946.

Conflict Resolution (3 hours) – £55 per person

Dates & Times:
Wednesday 8th November 2017   9.00 am – 12.00 pm (Venue To be confirmed)

This course will enable you to recognise different aspects of conflict that you may encounter and to understand and be aware of different methods of resolving such conflicts within the workplace.

Asbestos Awareness Training (3 hours) – £35 per person

Dates & Times:
Thursday 7th December 2017  9.30 am – 12.00 pm (Venue To be confirmed)

This training will raise awareness of the need to identify locations where any asbestos containing materials may be found in buildings.

On completion of the session delegates will be aware of:
1) Asbestos – What is it? Where does it come from and what types are there
2) Asbestos – Where it may be found in buildings
3) What are the health risks?
4) How to avoid the risk of exposure?
5) What are the legal requirements (asbestos)
6) Asbestos risk assessments
7) Policies & procedures
8) Procedures if suspected or found.

The course is delivered by an experienced Safety and Health Practitioner, and IOSH Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner.
